God Searches And Tests The Heart

The Lord searches the spirit of men, He searches our inmost being. God does not look at the outward appearance as man does, but He looks at the heart. God tests our hearts, as with fire; He examines it and knows it. And when a man perseveres under trial and passes the test, he will receive the crown of life.

Proverbs 20:27 "The lamp of the Lord searches the spirit of man; it searches out his inmost being."

Proverbs 17:3 "The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart."

Jeremiah 17:9 "I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."

1 Samuel 16:7 " The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance,  but the Lord looks at the heart."

Psalm 26:2 "Test me, O Lord, try me, examine my heart and my mind"

Psalm 139:23 "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts."

1 Thessalonians 2:4 "On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts."

Jeremiah 11:20 "But, O Lord Almighty, you who judge righteously and test the heart and mind"

Psalm 66:10 "For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver."

James 1:12 "Blessed (happy) is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

How easy it is to forget that this life is a testing for another ~ eternity. Are we really getting that?
When we do it will change our perspective and change the way we live, our actions and responses. How easy it is to forget, get distracted ~ how, quickly, we can take a rabbit trail and lose focus of the goal line. Our enemy works at that! With the rising of the sun, each and every morning, is a good time to reevaluate our focus and to realign ourselves with the Lord and that goal! Let us run with purpose!

Philippians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 "Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."

Hebrews 12:1 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

Let us not lose heart! But be renew and refreshed morning by morning! Press on!
